A quaint town whose name brings to mind the pressed white uniforms and impressive equipment of the navy (the former being the minds of females and the latter of males), Simon’s Town is one of the more popular seaside villages on the Cape Peninsula.
Home of the South African navy, Simon’s Town has a rich history, as can be seen on St George’s Street, where more than 20 buildings are over 150 years old. Charming houses, restored cottages, shops and restaurants line cobbled streets.
The mouth-watering smell of fresh seafood will lead you to the Waterfront Centre and seaside restaurants, where wonderful views over False Bay make meals even more fantastic.
